CHECK-IN & TRANSPORTATION: This trip requires check-in 30 minutes prior to launch time. The check-in location is at the Mad River office located at 1255 S HWY 89, just 2 miles south of town. Transportation from the Mad River Boat house to the river and back is provided on every Mad River trip. Complimentary pick up is available at most Jackson and Teton Village locations.

RAFT TRIP DETAILS: This trip launches from Wilson Bridge Boat Ramp. You'll travel 13 miles south through braided river channels. This stretch is home to an array of natural wonders unlike anywhere else on earth. Our experienced and knowledgeable guides will navigate you through this pristine landscape, sharing the history, geology, and wildlife of the region. With so many species calling the Tetons home, the opportunity to view them in one place is extremely rare.

You'll pause and enjoy lunch before finishing out the scenic section and returning to our boat house. A break back at the Mad River boat house lets you change into your whitewater apparel and put away binoculars and cameras not suited for your whitewater adventure.

The second part of the trip launches from West Table Boat Ramp in the Snake River Canyon and winds its way south toward Alpine, WY. You'll travel another 8 river miles where there are about 8 sets of rapids, ranging from class I and II to class III. Various river features will be encountered, such as Million Dollar Fishing Hole, Gauging Straights and Bailing Straights. In the middle of this section, just after the gauging straights, you'll pause at Mad River's exclusive riverside camp at Blind Canyon, overlooking the two largest rapids in the canyon for a unique dining experience. Here your guide becomes your server as you enjoy dinner. At the end of your meal, you'll hit the water once again to finish out your whitewater experience with the biggest whitewater rapids in the canyon.

The Snake River Canyon is rich in geological history and your guide will point out some of the features along the way that make this canyon unique. You may see river otters, osprey and bald eagles on your trip. And a lucky few might even catch a glimpse of a mountain goat, a mule deer, an elk or even a grizzly or black bear.

CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES: There is a 48-hour cancellation policy on this trip. For groups of 10 or more, there is a 72-hour cancellation policy.
